I prefer this name rather than White Ribbons Against Pornography because it speaks of an ongoing fight against something that is not only invading our communities, but also boldly enters our homes through the media and the computer. One estimate is that there are 1.3 million porn websites. What does that mean for our children & young people?
Why does the pollution of pornography continue to be present-even the hardcore porn that is against the law?
One of the reasons might be that our silence is deafening! Changes often come from complaints! Think of any product on the market. If enough complaints are received, it generates action. Isn't this what consumer reporting is all about?
Morality In Media, Inc ., ( www.moralityinmedia.org ), a national, interfaith organization that combats obscenity and decency standards in the media, has the tools to act on our concern about obscenity in our communities . OUR HELP IS NEEDED!

(www.enough.org ), which offers programs to raise awareness about the dangers of Internet Pornography and sexual predators.
This website is rich in information and resources including fact sheets on pornography's affect on attitudes, values and beliefs, how sexually oriented businesses affect crime rates, and what is considered by the courts to be "illegal pornography." In addition, Kids-Korner.com is an interactive, on-line community built especially for kids 14 and under.
The Sunday Herald, 11 April 2004, shares, ".Pornography in the US is a $12 billion business - revenue from porn exceeds the combined revenues of ABC, CBS and NBC television networks ($6.2bn), and also that of all professional football, baseball and basketball franchises put together."
