TURN YOUR FACE TO JERUSALEM
By
Carole Jeanne Bate
Turn your face toward Jerusalem,
It is time to go that way.
It is the direction
Whatever men may say.
Turn your face toward Jerusalem,
I know it will be hard;
But I will be with you,
My reputation not scarred.
Turn your face to Jerusalem,
To do my perfect will.
There is pain, you will suffer
Expectations I'll kill.
Turn your face to Jerusalem,
Don't find your own way.
I promise after night
There will be morning rays.
Turn your face to Jerusalem,
The place of the cross;
Where suffering, heartache
Removes all the dross.
Turn your face to Jerusalem,
Set your eyes steady there.
My Grace is sufficient
Let me hold all your cares.
Turn your face toward Jerusalem,
It is time to go that way.
It is the direction
Whatever men may say.
