“You Are Beautiful!!

Psalm 139

Have you noticed lately that a great majority of writers are publishing books that are designed to help us, “Find Ourselves”?  I’m always amazed at how many of them are written.  It seems like such a waste of paper since God has already given us the answer to our life questions in His Holy word, The Bible.  First, he tells us that we are “The creation of His own Hands”.  Psalm 139: 13 tells us, “You formed my inward parts, you wove me together in my mother’s womb.” No second string angels were used here, each one of us has God’s fingerprints all over us.  Second, God told us the purpose we are here for; to get to know Him.  Jeremiah 24:7, “I will give them a heart to know Me, for I am the Lord.”  Then we are told what we are to do here on earth.  Jeremiah 18, tells us the lesson of the potter and the clay.  We see how the clay is molded and shaped. Ephesians 2:10 continues on the potter theme and tells us that we will each be shaped according to the purpose that God has for us.  And what is it that He is shaping us into?  Something Beautiful! So, instead of buying another book to help you find yourself, the next time you look in the mirror and say, “Who am I?” remember these words.  YOU ARE:           

                         The creation of God’s own hands.

                            Here to get to know Him.

                                   He shapes you.

                                          Into something beautiful!!
